Vintage & Custom Drummeeting Germany 2025

Vintage & Custom Drummeeting Germany: A Heartbeat for the Drum Community

On April 5th, 2025, the Sporthalle in Mörfelden once again becomes the epicenter of percussive passion as the Vintage & Custom Drummeeting Germany returns. This isn’t just an event — it’s a heartbeat. A gathering where drummers, collectors, and craftsmen come together to celebrate rhythm, history, and innovation in one shared groove.

A Rich History: From Vintage Obsession to a Custom Culture

The Vintage Drum Meeting started from a handful of passionate collectors who met sporadically to share their treasures and talk drums. The first official gathering took place in 1998 in Darmstadt. It quickly gained traction, and between 2000 and 2009, the meeting was held annually at the Hugenottenhalle in Neu-Isenburg.

As the event evolved, it moved to Bürgerhaus Zeppelinheim from 2010 to 2016, then to Stadthalle Walldorf in 2017, and to the Bürgerhaus Mörfelden in 2018 and 2019. Since 2022, it has found its current home in the Sporthalle in Mörfelden.

Originally focused on creating a forum for lovers and collectors of historical drum kits, the event has expanded its appeal. With the rise of independent drum builders and modern boutique instruments, the audience broadened. Reflecting this shift, the event changed its name in 2018 from Vintage Drum Meeting to Vintage & Custom Drummeeting Germany — acknowledging both its heritage and its future.

A Vendor List That Hits Every Note

One of the event’s most exciting features is its diverse range of vendors — a beautiful mix of vintage specialists, custom builders, artisans, authors, and innovators. Here’s just a taste of the names that bring this event to life:

And with more than 60+ exhibitors, there’s truly something for every taste and style.

A Family Vibe, Not Just a Trade Show

What makes this meeting truly special is the drum community itself. You’ll feel it the moment you walk in — people chatting over snare wires, swapping stories about old jazz gigs, or inviting strangers to try their gear. It’s not just about buying or selling, it’s about connecting.

Whether you’re a young drummer discovering your first vintage kit or a seasoned collector showing off a rare Zildjian, you’re welcomed with open arms (and probably offered a pair of sticks to try something out).

The organizers — Martin Schneider, Ingo Winterberg, and their team — keep the atmosphere relaxed, inclusive, and deeply musical. There’s no flashy salesmanship, just genuine passion.

The Beat Goes On

The Vintage & Custom Drummeeting Germany is proof that the drum world is alive, kicking, and full of heart. It’s where past, present, and future come together under one roof. And whether you’re into crisp vintage snares or modern acrylic monsters, this event reminds you why we all fell in love with drums in the first place.
